This is a hardcover book titled "Steam: Its Generation and Use with Catalogue of the Manufactures of The Babcock and Wilcox Co." It is a First British Edition, printed in London in 1898 by Waterlow and Sons Limited. It has a red cover with a gold title and illustration of the globe as steam powered. The spine also has gold text that reads, "STEAM // FIRST // BRITISH // EDITION" over top of a gold logo. The back cover is plain. Handwritten on the inside of the front cover page is "George A. Chown // Stella // March 11, 1900 Toronto". The words "Toronto", "Montreal", "Stella" and "George Chown Cleveland Ohio" appear several times on the page. The last page also has an address repeated, the word "miss" multiple times, and some doodled "I"s. The book contains information on how to operate steam based machinery, as well as photographs and diagrams of the machines.
