a- This is a dark, hard cover book entitled, "Audels Answers on Refrigeration and Ice Making, A Practical Treatise with Illustrations". It is by Gideon Harris and Associates, and published by Theo. Audel & Co. of London and New York. The front and back cover are blank, but the spine reads "AUDELS // ANSWERS // ON // REFRIGERATION // A // PRACTICAL // TREATISE // FOR // ENGINEERS". There is a diamond shaped logo at the bottom of the spine. The book contains information on different systems used in refrigeration, and describes itself as an introductory, practical guide. The edges of the pages are gold. b- This is a page that has an etched portrait of a man on it, and is folded over where it was bound into a book. Under the image it says "With Kind compliments // PROF. DR CARL V LINDE // MUECHEN". The first line appears to be hand written. The other side and parts of the page are blank.
