This artifact consists of a paperback book entitled "Illustrated Catalogue No. 6 of Pierce Boilers and Radiators, Supplies for Plumbers, Gas and Steam fitters, Water Works, Engineers and Contractors" and a small book entitled "Price List and Complete Telegraph Code". a- This is a paperback book. It has a light green fabric cover that has deteriorated and is separated from the red paper cover. The texts on the front cover is no longer legible. The back cover is made of green fabric, and it has printed black text that reads "HEATING AND PLUMBING// CATALOGING NO.6// PIERCE, BUTLER & PIERCE MFG.CO.// ____ NEW YORK, U.S.A." There is a symbol of Pierce Mark on the centre of the back cover. The spine of the book is covered in green fabric, it has the book title and the name of the publisher, both are partially legible. The first four pages inside the front cover are red. The cover page indicates that this book is titled "Illustrated Catalogue No. 6 of Pierce boilers and Radiators, Supplies for Plumbers, Gas and Steam fitters, Water Works, Engineers and Contractors", produced by Pierce Mark, Main Office and Warehouse Syracuse N.Y. It was printed and published by J.K Johnson in Syracuse N.Y. On the central right of the cover page is a stamp of the Pump House Steam Museum. This book lists all the boilers, radiators, and sanitary specialties that were made by the Pierce & Butler Company, including their prices, sizes and diagrams. It also features a selection of supplies for plumbers, gas and steam fitters, water works and engineers. b- This is the cover of a small, light blue paperback book. On the front cover, the book title in black texts reads ""Price List and Complete Telegraph Code". There is a hand-written date of "april 15/1907" on the middle of the front cover. The black text on the bottom is " 'PIERCE' BOILERS RADIATORS TANK HEATERS". The back cover is light blue and plain. On the inside of the cover is a radiator price list. This small book is tucked in between the front cover and the first page of the book "Catalog No.6". c- This is the main body of a book entitled "PRICE LIST// STEAM AND WATER BOILERS TANK HEATERS WITH COMPLETE TELEGRAPH CODE". The book is produced by the Pierce, Butler & Pierce Manufacturing Company on April 15, 1907. It lists the number, cipher, capacity, and price of the "Pierce" boilers and tank heaters. There is a section of instruction regarding the ordering, shipping, inquiring, and purchasing of the Pierce products.
