Description
A tin ballot box with a split hinged lid. One side has a handle for carrying. The other side is soldered shut with a hasp at centre to fasten it with a lock or wire to the other side of the lid. Stenciled black block lettering on front and back sides on a moulded frame-shaped panel "V.R." On a handwritten label on one end "37A" The box was used from 1941-1948 when R.B. Gibson was Reeve of Kingston Township but is potentially older.
