Description

A metal finger plane consisting of five parts.
a - The brass plane base is oval in shape, with a hollow interior and flat bottom. There is a rectangular fixed mouth cut out of the bottom. A curved hole and small circular hole cut out of the front toe to attach the thumbscrew. Two oval holes are located toward the back of the body, one on either side, and the back heel is open to insert the blade. The number "85" is stamped into the right side.
b - A brass adjustment screw. The screw head is circular in shape, with a circular screw attached perpendicular at the bottom. The circumference of the screw head is stamped with a cross-hatch pattern.
c - A brass thumbscrew. The thumbscrew is circular in shape, with a circular hole in the centre to attach the adjustment screw. The rim circumference is stamped with a cross-hatch pattern.
d - A brass cap iron used to secure the blade in place. The cap is oblong in shape, with rounded edges at the top and angled at the bottom.
e - A metal plane blade. The blade is triangular in shape, with a flat blade at the bottom and circular screw at the top.
