Description

A metal block plane composed of four parts.
a - The brass plane base is oblong in shape, with a hollow interior and flat bottom. There is a rectangular fixed mouth cut out of the bottom to insert the blade, and a cylindrical bar over top to hold the blade. On the heel of the base, there is a circular adjustable adjustment screw. The circumference of the adjustment screw is stamped with a cross-hatch pattern. The left side of the body is engraved with "Cermak 89".
b - A brass adjustment screw. The screw head is circular in shape, with a circular screw attached perpendicular at the bottom. The circumference of the screw head is stamped with a cross-hatch pattern.
c - A copper cap iron. The cap iron is triangular in shape, with a rectangular bottom and rounded top point. There is a hole in the top point for attachment.
d - A steel blade. The blade is rectangular in shape, narrow at the top and slowly widening toward the bottom. There is a oblong hole in the centre for attachment.
