Description

Wooden hollow molding plane comprised of three parts, a wooden rectangular shaped body portion with a hollow sole or profile (a), a wooden wedge piece that is tapered to a point at the bottom and rounded at the top with a finger hold (b), and an iron with a long, thin stem with a wider rounded blade edge that matches the body's profile (c). The wedge piece (b) and the iron (c) fit together inside of the body portion (a) through an angled cutout. The wedge holds the iron in place as it cuts the wood below. Stamped on the heel edge of the plane is "I BLOWER", "R.WESTLEY", and the numbers "1 6". Stamped on the plane's toe edge is "I BLOWER", and "S. DALPE ROXTON POND. P. O." Stamped on the top of the plane near the toe is "P.M. COPPS". There is also a small circular red sticker stuck to the top of the heel's edge, and a blue sticker with the numbers "1179" printed on it above the red sticker on the top of the plane.
