Description
A unique reel-and-swift apparatus made of dark hardwood. The body is a wooden block with a rectangular section cut out of the proper right side. A wheel with teeth is installed at the top of the front side. A large hole is drilled into the top of the body. There is a hole that goes all the way through the bottom segment. A bolt (b) screws into this hole. There is a hole on the proper right side, just below the wheel. A label on the front body reads "E. L. BYRON'S / REEL AND SWIFT / COMBINED / Patented April 21, 186(?)"
