Description

The object is a wooden rocking horse, with metal and leather adornments. The horse likely would have been wearing a leather saddle, with reigns and stirrups, however only fragments of these pieces remain. These fragments are held with metal tacks. The horse would have had a mane and tail, made of bristle-like fibres. The body of the horse has been painted white, and there are remnants of blue, red and green paint on the body and the rocker of the object. There is mostly-intact black painted decoration, on the rocker of the object, on the cross members and on the base of the object.
