Cutter, Cabbage

a - A cabbage cutter that consists of a rectangular shaped hollowed wooden box with a rectangular shaped cutout on one side. On the top of the cutter is a metal guillotine-like mechanism with a wood plate with an oval shaped cutout in the middle. The wood plate slides back and forth over a blade with the raising and lowering of a handle. The sides on the back of the box are held together by dovetail joints. b - The wood insert that fits inside the top of the cutter that the food rests on prior to being cut.
