Skate, Ice

A pair of identical ice skating blades. The ice skates consist of an oblong wooden base with a metal blade screwed to the bottom. The oblong blade begins at the heel and extends three inches past the toe before curling slightly upward. There are four rectangular holes through the sides of the bases allowing the skate to be tied to a shoe. A leather and metal strap is laced through the hole under the heel for attachment.
