Description

A photograph album that contains photographs and documents relating to the 150th anniversary of Sir John A. Macdonald. a - The photograph album has a blue textured leather cover that has the coat of arms in gold at the top of the front of the album with "SIR JOHN A. MACDONALD // 150TH ANNIVERSARY // KINGSTON, ONTARIO // JANUARY 11TH, 1965 // MAYOR R. A. FRAY" beneath it. The interior of the album contains mulitple photograph pages that contain photographs and documents relating to the event. The pages have plastic covers and are secured to the interior spine of the album by eight plastic rings. The following parts are documents and photographs that are stored within the pages of the album.
b - A paper document that has a Minister of Tourism and Information letterhead at the top and identifies that purpose of the album is to serve as a 'Thank you' and a reminder of the 150th anniversary event. The document is signed by James A. C. Auld.
c - A piece of beige coloured cardstock that has a black and white image of Sir. John A. Macdonald with his signature below the image.
d - A black and white photocopy that is printed on glossy photo paper. The image is of Sir John A. Macdonald with two gentlemen with a flag behind them. "THE OLD FLAG // THE OLD POLICY // THE OLD LEADER" is in black lettering in the bottom 1/4 of the image.
e - A black and white photograph of Mayor R. A. Fray standing outside wearing a dress coat and the chain of office around his neck. His is standing with a man and woman. In the background is a group of people and the side of a train car.
f - A black and white photograph of a group of people gathering around the Sir John A. Macdonald monument that is located in City park in Kingston, Ontario. The monument is in the centre of the photograph with people behind and to the sides of it.
g - A black and white photograph of an outdoor parade. There are two men riding horses on the left side of the photo and a horse drawn carriage in the background on the right.
