A pair of sterling silver scissors and the box that they are stored in. a - The scissors have square shaped handles with oval shaped finger holes. Engraved on the front and back of the handles and pivot point is "PRESENTED TO // HIS WORSHIP Mayor Robert A Fray // ON THE OFFICIAL OPENING OF THE BANK OF // MONTREAL'S NEW PREMISES, PRINCESS & BARRIE STS. // SEPT. 7TH 1968 // H. DORWAL // SOLINGEN // GERMANY // BIRKS STERLING". B - The rectangular shaped black leather case that holds the scissors. The case had a hinged lid that is secured shut by two silver coloured metal clasps. The interior of the base is lined with dark blue velvet that has a moulded indentation that is in the shaped of the scissors. The interior of the lid is lined with white fabric. c - The rectangular shaped paper business card for "E. John Kelleher" the Vice President of the Eastern Ontario Region of the Bank of Montreal.
These scissors were presented to Mayor Robert Fray on September 7th, 1968 on the official opening of the Bank of Montreal's new premises that was located on Princess and Barrie Streets.
