A serial that contains numerous copies of pages from newspapers from various Canadian cities from 1867 to 1967.
a- The front and back cover of the serial has become detached from the rest of the pages. The front cover is brown with a gold coloured border around the perimeter and gold coloured leaves that start in the top left corner and travel down to the bottom left corner. "Golden Leaves" is in cursive in the centre of the cover with "from // CANADA'S PAST // 1867 // 1967" underneath. The centennial logo is in between "1867" and "1967". On the back cover is a letter of thanks written by the Mayor of the Borough of Etobicoke.
b - The interior pages of the serial are stapled together along the spine and are further secured together by a gold coloured corded tassel in the top left corner of the book. The pages of the serial consist of brown, orange and black drawings and a body of text on the left page and copies of pages from Canadian newspapers on the right. On each of the left hand pages is a brief history of a 5 to 8 year time period relating to the history of Canada. The drawings depict individuals and scenes relating to that time period. The newspapers on the right page range in date and place of publication but are organized in sequential order by date with the first dating to 1867 and the last dating to 1967.
c - The gold coloured corded tassel that is looped through the interior pages of the book in the top left corner.
This serial was produced as a birthday tribute to Canada by the city of Etobicoke as their Centennial project.
