The pages of the serial consist of brown, orange and black drawings and a body of text on the left page and copies of pages from Canadian newspapers on the right. On each of the left hand pages is a brief history of a 5 to 8 year time period relating to the history of Canada. The drawings depict individuals and scenes relating to that time period. The newspapers on the right page range in date and place of publication but are organized in sequential order by date with the first dating to 1867 and the last dating to 1967.
