A shield shaped wooden plaque with the Pre-amalgamation coat-of-arms for the city of Kingston, Ontario mounted on it. There is a metal banner across the top of the plaque that reads "City of Kingston". Below the banner is a gold coloured beaver on top of a knights helmet. The helmet rests on a red shield with a single crown above a Martello Tower and waves. There is a lion and a griffin standing on either side of the shield as supporters. Below the shield is a white and red coloured banner with the city's former motto "Pro Rege Grege Et Lege" in gold lettering. The back of the plaque has a key hole shaped groove at the top. There is a manufacturers' stamp on the right side of the back, reads "TROPHY CRAFT LIMITED// 1104 O'CONNOR DR.// TORONTO, ONT.// M4B 3L4".
