Description
A souvenir or promotional hand held flag commemorating the Kingston Tercentenary 1673-1973. Flag is rectangular with "1673" at left white on yellow background, and "1973" on right white on yellow background with the Coat of Arms of the City of Kingston in the centre white on a red background. Glued to a thin black rod with gold pointed tip.
History
This flag was created for the Kingston Tercentennial celebrations in 1973. The Kingston Tercentennial was a commemoration of the 300th anniversary of Frontenac’s landing in Canada around the Kingston area. There was a year-long celebration.
