This is an advertisement with printed red texts on a red-coloured paper. The advertisement is for the "Olde Tyme Country Fair" that took place on Saturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2, 1988. The event was the Ontario part of commemorations for the Bicentennial of Pittsburg Township (1788-1988). It was held at the Colonnade Golf & Country Club in Joycevile, Ontario. There is a red map of the location on the paper. Attendants of the Country Fair could experience activities and events of the past, including antique farm machinery, old-fashioned household displays, blacksmithing, old-fashioned meals, livestock shows and demonstrations. There are two photos on the paper advertisement, featuring historical farm life. On the bottom of the paper, the printed red texts read "Supported by the Ontario Ministry of Culture ad Communications and the Canadian Department of the Secretary of State".
This advertisement primarily was used to inform people about the specific activity taking place at this particular event of the many that occurred over the course of 1988, the bicentennial year for Pittsburgh Township. These events include a golf tournament.
