Description
A pair of split suede spats in grey with four aligned light brown coloured four-hole plastic buttons on the inside face. Each spat is sewn in three sections and has a leather strap and metal buckle.
a - The spat for the right foot.
b - The spat for the left foot.
History
The Spat was a common fashion element for men in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The 1920s was the last time the spat was truly popular in Canada and the United States. Spats were first designed to protect shoes from mud and water while walking.
