A circular metal crest mounted on a rectangular wooden plaque. The crest has a gold painted edge resembling a rope, and it has 3 gold maple leaves at the bottom of the edge. The centre of the crest has a red background with a yellow griffin over it holding a black and white anchor. The griffin is standing on a grey and white coloured crown. At the top of the crest is a gold painted crown with the sterns of 3 ships in it and 2 white sails between the sterns. Below the crown is the name "Kingston" in yellow lettering on a red background. At the bottom of the plaque, there is a metal plate with the black words that read "Presented by the Commanding Officer and Ship's Crew of HMCS Kingston to Mayor Harvey Rosen on May 16, 2008". The back of the plaque has a groove at the top and a groove close to the left edge.
