Blue leather book containing panorama of the Queen's coronation procession in 1838, in 20 feet: lithograph, hand colouring. This is a bound commemorative tableau. It is entitled, "Tableau of the Procession at the Queen's Coronation." It is a twenty foot, fold-out, coloured print of the procession to West Minister Abbey for the Coronation of Queen Victoria. It was printed by Robert Tyas, of Cheapside, London. On back of last panel, there is a pencil note that says "6/82 B982 146-1 M & R Glendale". The cover is blue, with debossed vegetal decoration, and gold text around a gold image of a carriage. The inside of the covers have title pages which advertises the printing house and it's other volumes. The tableau is coloured in watercolour, and folds out to 20 feet. There are labels under each unit of the parade identifying who the person is.
Queen Victoria's coronation was on June 28, 1838. Book donated 2014 by Isabel Turner, Mayor of Kingston (2000-2003). Mayor Turner has a keen interest in the City of Kingston's connection with the Crown.
