This is a carbon copy of a letter. Both pages are single sided and typed a- This is the first page of the letter. It is Dated May 7th, 1953 and addressed to "Jim". It thanks him for a letter, and discusses the canons near the Sir John A MacDonald statue in City Park (they are Russian, and were obtained after the Crimean War and were in various positions in the park before they were moved to in front of the statue). It discusses a the increase in pay and holiday hours.
b- This is the second page of the letter. It runs some calculations about the amount of money required to keep the pay increases going. It finishes the letter by updating Jim on the writer's health, the time they're spending in the garden, and requests that they should meet up soon. It isn't signed.
