A circular shaped commemorative ironstone plate in recognition of the Fathers of Confederation and the Centennial. The plate has a white background with a brown transfer printed central image of the Fathers of Confederation, who are seated at the Charlottetown Conference at Prince Edward Island. Printed under the central image are "THE FATHERS OF CONFEDERATION" in both English and French, "1867-1967", and "CENTENAIRE CANADA CENTENNIAL". The brim of the plate is decorated by the Coat of Arms of Canada and the crests of the 10 provinces, surrounding the central image. From the left to the right, the crests are from: Ontario, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Alberta, New Brunswick, Manitoba, Newfoundland, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, and Quebec. The crests are connected to one another by images of maple leaves. There is a small white paper label that is affixed to the top right of the plate, reads "S&R Dept. Store 17TI 1.49". The back of the plate is white in colour, and it has a manufacturers' mark on the upper centre of the base that reads "ENGLAND// alpine white ironstone// WOOD &SONS// 1967".
