The metal and glass box has a glass viewing window across the front. There are seven bolts with springs across the top of the box, one valve on the side and four bolts on the bottom of the box. The back of the box is curved. On a metal plate on the front of the box directly below the bolts with springs are the words, "Valve Slide Eccentric, Crosshead Pin, Crank Pin, Main Bearing Left, Crosshead Slide Front, Main Bearing Right, Crosshead Slide Rear" On the same plate below the previous words are "Troy Engberg Troy Engine & Machine Co. Troy, Penna. U.S.A. Type E Bore 5 Stroke 4 R.P.M. 450 No.E-11306"
