Description

A ken doll that is dressed in a handmade period to represent Count Frontenac.
a - The doll has brown coloured plastic hair, is wearing a red velveteen hat with orange feathers, a frilly lacy ascot (which is secured around his neck), red velveteen jacket and pants and a beige and gold fabric sleeveless shirt. There are two brown shoes on the dolls feet, that are secured in place by two metal pins.
b - The red velveteen coat has gold detailed along the front and around the wrists. There is also lace detailing at the end of the jackets cuffs.
c - The rec velveteen pants are ankle length and have lace detailing at the cuffs.
d - The beige and gold sleeveless shirt.
e - The red velveteen hat with orange feathers is attached to the doll by two pins.

History

This ken doll was a Tercentenary gift to Mayor George Nicholas Speal and his wife. It is suppossed to represent the Mayor dressed up as Count Frontenac.
