The inscription on the plaque reads, "Within these historic walls // rests a Millennium Time Capsule // dedicated on December 31, 2000 // to future generations // and as a memorial to generations past. // Presented jointly by // the Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce // and the City of Kingston. // To be unearthed on December 31, 2050." Below the inscription are three logos; ALCAN, City of Kingston, and Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce. b-Aluminium, cylinder shaped time capsule. Silver in colour. It consists of a body, which is welded to a rim. On that rim rests a steel plate that serves as a lid. On the top of the lid it reads "On December 31, 2000 // Mayor Isabel Turner dedicated this time capsule // to future generations // and as a memorial to generations past. // Presented as a millennium project // of the Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce // and the City of Kingston, // To be unsealed on December 31, 2050." Below the inscription are three logos; ALCAN, City of Kingston, and Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce.
