a- This is a book with a brown hard cover. The front and back covers are brown, plain, and have no texts. The spine of the book is brown, flat, and the golden text on it reads "Pioneering to Prosperity - Davies & Clevely". The book is written by D.A.Davies and R.E.Clevely, and published by the Fielding Borough Council and Oroua County Council in 1981. It has 179 pages, divided into 14 chapters to tell the history of the Manchester Block from 1874 to 1974. The book covers the early history, county council, use of land, civic life and important people of the region. b- This is the green book jacket. On the front panel, there is a black-and-white photograph of two children standing on a steam engine. The texts read "Pioneering to Prosperity 1874 - 1974", "A Centennial History of the Manchester Block" and D.A.Davies and R.E.Clevely". There is a black symbol of the County of Oroua on the bottom left of the front panel. The back panel of the book jacket is green and plain. On the front flap, there are three black texts, introducing the Manchester Block and the two authors.
