The top left part has three gold maple leaves under a St. George's Cross. The top right has a bushel of wheat. The bottom right has a representation of the bluffs. The bottom left has a depiction of a factory. Below the crest is a metal plaque with an engraving that reads, "PRESENTED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL // TO // MAYOR JOHN P. GERRETSEN // ON THE OCCASION OF THE // CANADA TOWN CRIER CHALLENGE // NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS // JULY 10 - 12, 1986 // MAYOR (signature)".
