This is a varnished wooden plaque. It has a metal crest of the HMCS Halifax at the upper half of the plaque. The crest has a rope border with a maple leaf on the bottom. The upper half has the word "HALIFAX" engraved into a box. There is a top crest with a series of ships. Inside the rope border is a bird holding a trident in its feet. There is a black metal plate at the bottom with engraved lettering. The lettering reads, "From the Captain and Crew of HMCS HALIFAX // to the city of Kingston, on the occasion of our visit // APRIL 2007". The reverse side is plane.
