This is a varnished wooden plaque. It has a circular sticker at the top bearing the crest of Frontenac County. The sticker is black with gold accents. The crest has a border made of a belt with text on it that reads "COUNTY OF FRONTENAC". Within the belt is a ship. Under the ship is a bushel of grain. Below the bushel is a plough. Under the crest sticker is a layered metal gold and black plate. There is engraved text on it that reads, "GARDINER'S ROAD // UNDERPASS // OFFICIAL OPENING // SEPTEMBER 20, 1984". The side of the plaque is painted. The reverse side has a hole for hanging and a sticker with information on the engravers.
