A matching tableware set that consists of two plates (a-b), two teacups (c-d), four saucers (e-h), two soup bowls (i-j), four desert plates (k-n), and two desert bowls (o-p). All of the dishes have the same maroon coloured pattern around the outside edge that consists of a maroon band with a repeating wave-like pattern in white. There is also a black line around the circumference, approximately 1.0 cm below the maroon band on the soup bowls, teacups, saucers, and desert bowls. "VANDESCA // China // OF CANADA" is stamped in green on the bottom of each piece with a number ranging from 71 to 73.
Believed to have been the place setting used by Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip at the civic dinner on June 25th.
