Proclamation

A cream coloured piece of paper that is the copy of the original proclamation, declaring the uniting of the Provinces of Canada (Ontario and Quebec) with Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick to form the Dominion of Canada. The Proclamation is in English on one side and in French on the other. It lists the names of the men being appointed to the first Senate of Canada. The Proclamation was reproduced by Bellevue House in Kingston, Ontario.
