a- This is a hardcover green book. The front and back covers both have a plain surface wrapped in green fabric. The spine has a silver text that reads "THE SMILING WILDERNESS/FRANK B.EDWARDS" and a logo of the Camden House Publishing Ltd. on the bottom. On the frontispiece, there is a stamp of "Presented with the compliments of Lennox and Addington County Council" with a hand-written signature of Warden Harold Krinig. The copyright page indicates that the book is written by Frank B. Edward and was published by the Camden House Publishing Camden East in 1984. This book is about the pioneering life in the Lennox and Addington County from the late eighteenth to the nineteenth century. It contains photographs and tales, including the forced migration of the Loyalists, the economic growth in the region, and the establishment of communities. b- This is a green book jacket. On the middle of the front jacket, there is an illustration of people hunting and camping in the woods. The golden and white texts read "THE SMILING WILDERNESS/ By Frank B.Edwards/ An Illustrated History/ Lennox & Addington County". The spine has the book title and the name of the author. The back jacket is green and plain. There is an introduction of the book on the front flat, and it continues to the upper part of the back flat. On the back flap, there are four quotes from the pioneer residents, describing the early life in the Lennox & Addington County.
