The spine is blue with gold text that reads "THE SHAPING OF ONTARIO / Mika". The back cover is plain. The book contains the history of Ontario from roughly 1615 to confederation in 1867. It contains numerous maps, drawings, paintings, photographs and diagrams. b- This is a book jacket. the front panel is a faded blue, with off white lettering that reads "THE SHAPING / OF ONTARIO / from Exploration to Confederation". There is a map taking up the majority of the front panel. The spine has text that says "THE SHAPING OF ONTARIO / Mika". The back panel is plain. The front flap and back flap both have parts of a summary of the book, in black text.
