A light yellow hard cover book entitled "The Royal Borough of Kingston-Upon-Thames, A Survey of the Royal Borough and Its Amenities". The front cover of the book has a silver coloured metallic coat of arms that is affixed to it. Below the coat of arms is the book title "KINGSTON-UPON-THAMES" in silver lettering. The spine is yellow and it has silver texts that read "KINGSTON-UPON-THAMES". The back cover is yellow with a blue illustration of an architecture on the middle. This book was published by the Festival Committee in Guildhall, Kingston-upon-Thames in 1938. There are hand-written signatures of various Kingston-upon-Thames mayors on the cover page in blue and black ink. The introduction of this book is written by Mayor A.George Knowlden. The book introduces the history, development, landmarks, business, education system and civic life in the town of Kingston-upon-Thames. There are a series of printed coloured illustrations in the book.
