A metal statue mounted on a wooden base. The statue is of a young man in military uniform wearing a cap on his head and has a sword that is pointing downward behind him. The man stands in a contrapposto with his arms and shoulder contrast with his hip and legs. The man's proper right hand rests on his hip and his head is tilted towards his proper right, gazing into the distance. On the front of the wooden block is a plaque which reads, "Presented to the City of Kingston on the occasion of the Granting of the Freedom of the City to The Royal Military College of Canada// 8 May 1976". The bottom of the base is lined with red felt.
