A shield shaped wooden plaque with the coat of arms for the city of Birmingham, England mounted on it. The coat of arms has a pale blue background with an arm swinging a hammer coming out of a crown. Below the image of the arm is a rose in the centre of the crown. Under the crown is a knight's helmet resting on a shield with blue, gold, and red designs in each square and a bishop's crown in the centre. On the left of the shield, there is a woman holding paints in her proper right hand and a red book in her proper left hand. There is a man on the right side of the shield who holds a piece of metal, a hammer and has an anvil behind him. Below the human figures is a white and blue band with the city's motto "Forward" on it. Above the coat of arms, there is a gold coloured band that reads "PRESENTED BY THE LORD MAYOR", and the band below the coat of arms is "CITY OF BIRMINGHAM". The back of the plaque has a circular metal piece with a small opening. There is a white manufacturers' label on the centre of the back, reads "Military Marketing UK// 37 Avonside// Stratford-Upon-Avon-Warwickshire// CV37 6BJ// Tel: 0789 293048".
