This is a black and white studio matted photograph of Mayor John A. Carson, Mayor of Kingston 1887. The portrait is a man from the chest up. The man is dressed in a suit, and looking to the right. He has short hair and a substantial moustache. On the front of mat is the printed name "Henderson // KINGSTON. // CANADA." On the reverse is a handwritten note in pen that reads "Jack Carson (J.A. Carson) // Mayor of Kingston // born? - 1912 (died) // married to // Great Aunt Jennie (Butler) Carson". There is a note underneath to Mayor Cooper from the donors.
