This is a black-and-white photograph of the 20th Governor General of Canada, Roland Michener and his wife, Norah Michener. It is housed in a gilded wooden frame with cream coloured mat and glass cover. The photograph was taken indoors and features the couple standing in the centre of the photo in front of a fireplace. Roland Michener wears his military uniform and holds a pair of white gloves in his proper right hand. His wife dresses in a light coloured dress, wears pearl necklaces, and holds a purse in her proper left hand. Michener gazes into distance, while Norah looks directly at the camera. There is the photographer's signature in white ink that reads "Cavouk" on the bottom right corner of the photo. There are hand-written signatures on the bottom of the paper mat, reading "1969// Roland Michener// Norah Willis Michener".
