Description

This is a stoneware bottle. It has a brown Albany-type slip, circular body and a sloped shoulder. The neck and finish are broken off. At the bottom edge is an impressed oval stamp that reads, "Doulton 21 Lambeth". It has a white label on shoulder with red ink that reads, "Lofehr".

History

Doulton operated with the "Doulton Lambeth" mark 1858-1910
