Description

This is a large wooden crest-shaped plaque. It has crests of four ships and a brass plaque in the centre. The words on the crests from top to bottom are: CANCOMDESRON FIVE, NIPIGON, ANMAPOLIS, and SAGUENAY. The engraved words on the plaque read "Presented to the City of Kingston on the occasion of the XXI Olympiad by the Commander Fifth Canadian Destroyer Squadron Captain (N) N.D. Brodeur".

The City of Kingston acknowledges that we are on the traditional homeland of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee and the Huron-Wendat, and thanks these nations for their care and stewardship over this shared land.
