Description

A wood and metal plaque with the image of a large five-story office building on the top. Below the image are the words in black lettering that read "Official Opening of the Macdonald - Cartier Building// Kingston, Ontario// October 24, 1983 by The Honourable William G. Davis, P.C., Q.C.// Premier of Ontario". Under the inscription, there is a black image of the Coat of Arms of Ontario, consisting of a moose, a Canadian deer, a shield with 3 maple leaves and a black bear on top of the shield. At the bottom of the plaque are hand-written signatures in black ink by the Ontario's Minister of Health, the Minister of Government Services, and the Attorney General of Ontario. On the back of the plaque are 2 trapezoid shaped grooves and 2 adhesive paper labels of the manufacturers'' information. The labels indicate that this plaque was made in Canada.
