Description

This is a varnished wood plaque. The plaque has It has two stylized metal leaves on each side of the plaque front. In the centre is a yellow metal plate with a gold edge. At the top of the metal plate gold stylized text that reads "CANADIAN // NATIONAL // EXHIBITION". In the upper right corner of the yellow plate is a gold maple leaf. Below the text is an image of a beaver in front of three maple leaves. The beaver is resting on a triangle with the stylized letters CNE inside. There are two smaller stylized triangles on either side. Under the triangles is a small metal plate. Affixed to the top of the metal plate is a blue and red metal logo for the centenary, a blue and gold triangular maple leaf with a red box with gold text. The text reads "1867 1967 // CANADA". Below the metal logo is engraved text. The text reads "IN APPRECIATION // KINGSTON PARKS DEPT // NATIONAL CENTENNIAL // FLOWER SHOW". On the reverse there is a hole for hanging. Under the hole there is a sticker with information on the manufacturer.
