Book

This is a blue hardcover book about the history of the International Fire Chiefs Association. The front cover has the crests of three associations. On the top is a gold crest that says, "NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRE ENGINEERS U.S.A. ORG OCT 20TH 1873" around an arrangement of horns. The middle gold crest says INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIRE ENGINEERS ORG. OCT. 20TH 1873" around the same arrangement of horns. The bottom crest says "ORG. 1873 / ASSOCIATION OF / INTERNATIONAL / FIRE CHIEFS" arranged around and over a stylized globe. The cover is titled "A CENTENNIAL HISTORY / A CENTENNIAL HISTORY" around the top and bottom crests. On the back cover there is a small crest in the bottom right corner that reads "KINGSPORT / TENN. / KINGSKRAFT" arranged on a shield and banner. On the inside front cover is a note on the origin of the book. "Donated by Fire Chief C.W.Gibson in memory of James Armstrong Chief of the Kingston Fire Dept. from 1909 to 1944. Served as President of International Association of Fire Chiefs in 1925."
