A silver coloured metal plaque mounted on a wooden base. An engraved image on the front of the plaque shows the Kingston waterfront with Fort Henry in the distance and a Martello tower in the foreground. Across the bottom of the plaque is "Canadian Olympic-training Regatta Kingston 1973" in black lettering. There is a brass coloured circular metal piece with a key hole shaped opening at the central top on the bottom of the wooden base. The black words on the metal piece read "MADE IN CANADA// ETCHED NAME PLATES LTD// TORONTO, ONTARIO".
The regatta is commonly referred to as CORK.
