A silver coloured metal plaque that is mounted on a wooden base. The plaque is engraved with an image of the Kingston waterfront with several sail boats in the water and a larger boat behind them in the foreground. The background of the image features buildings and architectures in the city, including the Victoria Shoal Tower and the Kingston City Hall. On the top right corner of the plaque are a black image of a soldier who carries a sword and the words "Captain Morgan Rums". The engraved black words on the bottom of the plaque reads, "Capitan Morgan Rums Canadian Olympic - training Regatta// Kingston 1987". There is a key shaped opening at the central top on the bottom of the wooden base.
The regatta is commonly known as CORK.
