A silver coloured metal plaque that is mounted on a wooden base. The plaque is engraved with an image of the Kingston waterfront with piers and cranes and several sailboats in the foreground. There is an engraved signature of "J.David Brown" under the image. The black words on the bottom of the plaque reads "Canadian Olympic-training Regatta Kingston 1985". On the top right corner are 2 black logos. The words above the logo are "International Youth Year 1985, and the words below the logo are "Annee International de la Jeunesse 1985". On the bottom of the wooden base is a key hole shaped opening at the top.
The regatta is commonly referred to as CORK.
