This is a colour photograph of the naval ship HMCS Ottawa. The ship is a St. Laurent Class Destroyer Escort. It is number 229. There is an inscription by Commander Andre Periesse on the photograph. It reads, "To the City of Kingston // We of HMCS Ottawa are delighted // to be here and are looking forward to // an enjoyable visit to your fine community // Commander Andre Periesse // Commanding Officer // 14 August, 1990". The ship is on what looks to be open water. There is a "not for resale" stampe on the back, and a note in pen that reads "HFX 61".
