A metal and wood plaque that is commemorating "Operating Courage". The plaque was presented to the City of Kingston by the Correctional Services of Canada. The plaque consists of two metal plates (one silver and the other red) that are screwed to a piece of rectangular shaped wood. There is a "Canada Correctional Service" crest at the top in the centre of the plaque. The plaque is dated "SEPTEMBER 11, 1983" and includes the Commissioner's name in cursive at the bottom.
This plaque was presented to the City of Kingston by the Correctional Service of Canada to commemorate the inauguration of "Operation Courage"; a CSC Peace Officers 400 KM memorial marathon that was run annually between Ottawa - Smith Falls - Kingston - Montreal.
