A metal and wood plaque that is commemorating "Operating Courage". The plaque was presented to the City of Kingston by the Correctional Services of Canada Peace Officers. The plaque consists of a metal plate that is adhered to a piece of rectangular shaped wood. There is a "Canada Correctional Service" crest at the top in the centre of the plaque with "Cdn. - US. // Peace Officers // Helping Handicapped Children" in either side of the crest. The plaque is dated "Sunday September, 9th. 1984" and includes the Deputy Commissioner's name "A. M. Trono" at the bottom.
This plaque was presented to the City of Kingston by the Correctional Services of Canada Peace Officers on the occasion of the inauguration of their Canada - American 100 km "Operation Courage Memorial Marathon" from Watertown, New York to Kingston, Ontario on Sunday September 9th 1984.
