A realistic landscape representation of the Bay of Quinte from a height of land, from the publication 'Picturesque Canada' of 1882. In the immediate foreground in the lower right 1/4 of the composition there is a dirt path with two figures walking along it, seen from behind, and tall trees at its further end. In the lower left corner of the composition the view looks downslope to two buildings at the site of the present-day Glenora Ferry. Above this is an expanse of water with a sailboat, the water ending at the horizon in the upper 1/3 of the composition. At the upper left are stretches of land along the shoreline. "F. B. Schell" is in white in the lower left corner and "Kilburn, S. C." is in white in the lower right corner.
